We've Got a New Home!

I've been so busy recently that I just haven't had time to post - We finally got a house! It's great. I love it! It needs some work done to the inside (mainly tearing off old wallpaper and restoring the original beadboard) but it's great. It's got hardwood floors, big, open rooms and best of all two huge storage buildings out back to store junk. It's right in the middle of town so now I can go home for lunch - absolutely fantastic. I'll post pics of it as soon as I can.

Summer....

I see that I haven't posted in quite some time. I try to remember to post at least once a week, or once a month - but, it seems I can't even do that! We took a mini-vaca a couple of weeks ago (actually one night, that's all we could afford) to Murfreesboro, TN - there was actually quite a lot of stuff to do there. We took Trent and Ashlyn along with us and they had a blast along with Nikki. There is a Murfrees Spring Discovery Center (or something like that) the kids just loved. So did Don. Nikki and Don were playing with the hands-on water exhibit and they were making a mess! They had fun, though. The Discovery Center has a walking trail that is great. You walk through wetlands. The kids also enjoyed going to Chuck E. Cheese's and spending a LOT of money on games. All in all, it was a great one night vacation.

Spring Break Pictures

Yes... at long last I am finally posting our spring break pictures. We had a nice time while we were there, but a difficult time going there and coming back. Let's just say that I will NEVER be going on another trip with my brother-in-law EVER AGAIN. STRESS x 10! Other than that - Don, Nikki, my sister's kids and I had a wonderful time there. We would have had an even better time if it wasn't so darn cold there that week. But I still loved the condo we stayed in and the view was awesome. I would love to go back to the very same condo in the summer months. We'll have to see about that.....

SPRING BREAK!

Next week the kids are on spring break. Don, Kelly, Matt and I are taking the kids to Pascagoula, MS and then on to the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast. We should have a lot of fun. I've never taken a trip with my sister and her family without my parents being around. I think we will have a lot of fun. This is Ashyln's first time at the beach and Trent's second time. Nikki has been two times before but loves it. We're only going to be gone for three days - so it's only a mini-vacation - but a much needed one! Hopefully there will be warm weather down there. When I get back I should have plenty of pictures to post. We're going to Pascagoula to take pics of what Hurricane Katrina did and then we'll take beach pics of the kids when we get to AL/FL. So be watching for a bunch of pics!

It's Spring... But It Doesn't Feel Like It!

I woke up this morning and looked out the door and my dog's water bowl's water was frozen on top. How could this be? Just a week or two ago it felt like spring - and now this week - the first week of spring - it feels like winter again. The low was around 30 degrees last night. The high today is supposed to make it up to the mid 50's I think. A week ago it was 75 degrees outside! Strange, strange Tennessee weather.

It Feels Like Spring!

Hi... today is March 1st and it's around 75 degrees outside. Absolutely beautiful. Of course, I'm stuck here at work and really can't enjoy it too much. I've already got buttercups (or daffodils, depending on what part of the country you are from) blooming in my yard. I've got a bunch of them on my desk right now. Gotta go for now, just thought I'd post a little while I was thinking about it.

We finally had snow!

Last weekend we finally had snow. I was so happy. The kids played in it (although it WAS between 1 and 2 a.m. in the morning when they were doing so). But, oh well, it's not like it snows here every winter! Anyway, just thought I'd post a little something while I had the time.
